The first edition, focused on photography, features insights and stories from leading photographers like Emily Keegin, Quil Lemons, and Campbell Addy, packaged as a free guidebook and event series.
The guide reflects the discomfort of today’s creative industries, where shifting technologies and a declining media landscape devalue work yearly. This inspired the naming of the project, and typeface and design choices, emphasizing the political nature of the subject and the matter of urgency.

New Rules traveled to London, Chicago, and New York for a series of free in-person events, featuring unflinching panels and honest conversations, connecting the creative community. We developed a promotional campaign with physical and social media assets.
The series returns at the end of 2024 with a second, videography-focused edition, featuring some of the most exciting filmmakers today. The format is a PDF guide, and online video roundtables on distribution, funding, and creative voice.
